Importantly, neuroscience differs from psychology in that it is a biological study focusing on the nervous system, and how that system’s chemical and physiological workings create thought and action. Like psychology, neuroscience has a long history. It is really in the latter half of the 20th Century however that advances in technology accelerated understanding of the nervous system. That understanding is now poised to grow exponentially.
